1950’s Ladies Vintage Mexican Tourist Jacket in Blue, fantastic jacket, the embroidery is stunning, long sleeved, on the front it has a embroidered house with agave and also a lady with a basket of fruit on her head, and then on the two lower pockets are a Mexican lady with long plaits, same on both pockets, at the end of the sleeves there is a large cactus with a Mexican under his sombrero taking a siesta, and then on the back is a stunning piece with a Mexican woman and a sombrero wearing man with baskets, also a well, a church and houses, and another lady, hills and the sun and palm trees, the jacket is a lovely mid-blue in colour with red & yellow stitching on all of the edges including the pockets, also has embroidery on the edges of the collar both sides and the middle, amazing condition for the age, even the edging is all intact, has slight fading but hardly noticeable, (see photos – some of the photos look a slightly different colour due to lighting), the embroidery is amazing, label states Lopez, Made in Mexico, has been dry-cleaned, so just ready to wear, measures 37″ bust x 27″ length, roughly as obviously it doesn’t do up, more like a cardigan
