1950’s Emerson 888 Portable Transistor Radio, funky radio made by Emerson, this radio was made in 1958 and was the first of it’s kind, has a dark grey plastic case with a gold metal speaker front with a large tuning knob on the front with a smaller plastic on/off knob on the front also, has a metal stand that pulls out, made by Emerson Radio, Jersey City, N.J, USA, and the model details are ‘Emerson 888, Pioneer, Nevabreak Pocket Radio, runs on batteries, works fine, great condition but has a small chip on the seam at the top of the case, and a few marks on speaker grill, see photo, size 4″ W x 7″ H x 2″ D
I have one of these radios, its not a Pioneer, on the back it says Emerson Electronics Ltd London ser # 342967. It’s in great condition. I’d like to have some idea of its value. Alan
